Passionate Flowers

As a child I was always collecting and arranging flowers from the forests and meadows around my home in Switzerland. It was a natural progression for me to start a career in floristry. A florist apprenticeship in Switzerland takes three years to complete but with the guidance of a very good mentor and amazing friend it’s a time that I look back with happy memories.

After qualifying as a florist I would describe myself as being a good florist but yet to find my unique style. I worked in flower shops around Switzerland and gained inspiration from seeing the work of other florists. The highlight of my career in Switzerland was when I was given the responsibility of managing a flower shop. It was here that I was given the freedom to create flower designs in my own unique style which I would best describe as wild, rustic, romantic and inspired by Mother Nature. The shop was a success and beloved by many customers but a random encouter with an Englishman took my life in a new direction.

It was ten years ago that I moved to England. I had the dream to start my own business but a newly growing family had to come first. It wasn’t until a year ago that my youngest child started school and I had at last the opportunity to start my business. Passionate Flowers was born.

Passionate Flowers is based in the Fenland village of Over near the University City of Cambridge in England.

I would like to thank all my customers that have supported and encouraged me to take Passionate Flowers from a dream into something more than I could ever have imagined.
